The recent controversy involving Payal Rajput and the film “Rakshana” caught the attention of movie lovers. Until then, no one was aware of such a film being made and ready to be released. However, the film was finally released in theaters on June 7, and it saw disastrous occupancy in the theaters, not even getting noticed by the audiences. It is widely known that the RX100 actress made headlines by accusing the producer of the film of threatening to blacklist her from Telugu cinema for refusing to promote the project until her outstanding payments were settled.
After extensive negotiations, Payal Rajput finally resolved the dispute with the producers, which ultimately paved the way for the film’s release. Nevertheless, due to the controversy surrounding its release and Payal’s minimal efforts in promoting it, the movie has largely gone unnoticed by the audience. The lack of publicity for “Rakshana” can be attributed to Payal’s decision to withhold promotion until her dues were settled. Consequently, coupled with the film’s unfavorable reception, it has faded into obscurity.
Occasionally, despite investing millions of rupees in a project, some poor decisions can lead to the producers’ money being wasted. The situation with Rakshana is a prime example, with Payal Rajput also being at fault for dismissing the film due to the delay in the filming and potential lack of success at the box office.
