Andreas Hager, CEO of the German-based Pepper Motion Company, called on Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at the Camp Office here on Wednesday.
Pepper Motion, engaged in manufacturing of electric buses and trucks, is poised to lay foundation stone for its EV bus and truck manufacturing unit in an extent of 800 acres at Punganuru in Chittoor district with an investment of Rs.4640crore.

The Chief Minister explained about the transparent industrial policy being implemented by the Government for giving single window clearances to entrepreneurs and producing green energy in the State.

Andreas Hager told him that their unit will manufacture 30,000 electric buses and trucks annually and it will also have a facility of retro fitting for converting diesel buses and trucks into electric vehicles.

Its integrated vertical production facility of international standards will also have 20GWH capacity battery manufacturing unit, he told the Chief Minister.
Pepper Motion has tie up with leading international corporate companies and has facilities in USA, Europe, Mexico and China.

He thanked the Chief Minister for giving fast clearances for its unit at Punganuru and said that its forthcoming global centre of excellence in the State will also extend services to its partners in Middle East, Africa and Asia.

He said the unit will provide employment to 8100 engineers and technicians.
Rajampeta MP P. Mithun Reddy, Pepper Motion CTO Dr Matthias Kerler, Finance Director Uve Stelter, Wurth Electronics India MD Harsh Aadya, Pepper Motion CIO Rajasekhara Reddy Nallapureddy, CSO Satya Bulusu, CCO Ravi Sankar, Associate Sridhar Kilaru and senior officials of the CMO were also present.
