Operation opts out from race?

Varun Tej and Sai Dharam Tej are part of the esteemed Allu-Konidela family in the Telugu film industry. Both actors made their debut in the same year, 2014. While Sai Dharam Tej ventured into commercial cinema, Varun Tej chose a different route, starting with the drama film “Mukunda.” Varun Tej stands out for his commitment to portraying diverse characters, evident in films like “Kanche,” “Tholi Prema,” “Fidaa,” “F2,” “Antariksham 9000 KMPH,” and “Gaddalakonda Ganesh.”

Varun Tej, despite facing criticism for the lack of commercial elements in his recent film “Gandheevadhari Arjun,” seems undeterred in his pursuit of content-driven cinema. The actor has announced his next two projects, signaling a continued departure from mainstream formulas. His upcoming films include a patriotic movie titled “Operation Valentine” and a period drama set against a historical backdrop.

“Operation Valentine” features Varun Tej and Manushi Chillar in lead roles, directed by Shakti Prathap Singh. Initially set for release on December 8th, 2023, the film faced competition from other releases. Despite announcing this date and releasing a new poster, there have been no updates since then, leading to speculation that the film might be postponed. While there’s no official announcement, sources suggest the film might have opted out of the race, possibly due to its genre appealing to a specific audience and the makers avoiding competition with family-friendly and entertaining movies.
