Mega Prince Varun Tej’s latest release, Operation Valentine, failed to capture the attention of most audiences during its theatrical run. Directed by Shakti Pratap Singh Hada, the film stars Manushi Chhillar as the female lead.
The film’s Hindi version has recently premiered on Amazon Prime Video, joining its already available counterparts in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. It will be interesting to observe the response of North Indian movie enthusiasts towards this release. Navdeep, Ruhani Sharma, Paresh Pahuja, Shataf Figar, Sampath, Ali Reza, and other talented actors take the lead in Operation Valentine, a film supported by Sony Pictures International and Sandeep Mudda. The captivating musical score is crafted by the talented composer Mickey J Meyer.
Shakti Pratap Singh Hada directed Operation Valentine, a film inspired by the Pulwama Attacks. Interestingly, Fighter, a recent release, also drew inspiration from the same incident. Operation Valentine immerses viewers in the world of the Air Force, delving into its intricate technical language. Throughout the movie, characters frequently use phrases like “Roger this or that,” discuss coordinates, and address each other by their ranks, except for those who are close. While the film showcases considerable effort, the execution lacks a natural look and feel. The audiences felt the required intensity and effectiveness was completely missing in the film. That is why the film failed at the box office. Let’s hope it gets relatively decent response from OTT viewers.
