OnePlus has started rolling out major software updates for its latest flagships, the OnePlus 11 and OnePlus 12, in its home country of China. The updates bring a host of AI-powered capabilities to both phones, including automated text summarization and article recommendation features.
Key additions include AI Summariser to condense blocks of text, AIGC Remover to erase undesirable elements from photos, and Article Summaries to suggest related articles based on screen content. Enhanced Breeno Touch interactions and new fingerprint unlock options also make the cut.
Beyond the AI upgrades, the updates aim to bolster network performance for OnePlus 11 and 12 owners. Fixes to Bluetooth, NFC and Wi-Fi connectivity should translate to smoother communications in challenging environments like subways.
The firmware versions PHB110_14.0.0.403(CN01) for the OnePlus 11 and PJD110_14.0.0.405(CN01) for the OnePlus 12 are rolling out incrementally. So, if you haven’t received the upgrade yet, manually check for the update in your Settings app.
With meaningful AI features and connectivity tweaks arriving for both phones, OnePlus appears committed to improving flagships even post-launch. And this likely hints at functionality that could reach OnePlus users globally down the road.
