Naidu’s health to be election issue for YSR Congress!

The health of opposition TDP leader N Chandrababu Naidu is likely to be the election issue for the ruling YSR Congress in the coming elections. Chandrababu Naidu had submitted health report to the AP high court stating several ailments.

Naidu is suffering from cardiac issues, dermatology issues to many other issues and his health cannot permit him to stay alone. The doctors who conducted tests on him have suggested that Naidu should have an ambulance along with him wherever he goes.

Taking this as an advantage, the ruling YSR Congress leaders have started using it for their political mileage. Deputy chief minister and minister for endowments Kottu Satyanarayana had already advised Chandrababu Naidu to retire from politics. He said that no person with so many ailments and diseases will try to continue in politics. He wanted Chandrababu Naidu to step out of politics and take rest.

The ruling party leaders are likely to raise this issue in every meeting till the elections are over. The YSR Congress leaders would take the ill-health of Chandrababu Naidu to the people. They have already started asking people whether they would vote for an ailing man.

A man with so many diseases and ailments are not fit to be chief minister, the ruling party leaders say. They also suggest that Naidu’s heath condition is too bad and worse, and it is not advisable to vote for such a sick person.

The leaders are also taking the papers submitted by Chandrababu Naidu to the court in support of his request for bail. The court after considering the documents related to his health, had granted him regular bail from November 29.

Even the interim bail was given to Chandrababu Naidu on October 31 only based on his health condition. The TDP leaders have made hue and cry about the health of Chandrababu Naidu.

All this is going to be used by the ruling party leaders as part of their electoral campaign against the TDP in the 2024 general election. It is to be seen how far they would succeed in convincing people not to vote for a sick person.
