Naidu in confusion over alliance with Jana Sena

TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu is said to be in a state of confusion over the alliance with the Jana Sena ahead of the 2024 general election in Andhra Pradesh. The Jana Sena had aligned with the BJP in the current Telangana Assembly elections.

The Jana Sena was given 8 Assembly seats in alliance with the BJP. The Jana Sena candidates are in the fray as independents as Jana Sena is not a registered party in Telangana. Though the eight candidates are in the fray as Jana Sena candidates, party chief Pawan Kalyan is not campaigning for them.

However, Pawan Kalyan would join Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the election campaign for the BJP candidates. He would tour with the Prime Minister and address a couple of public meetings shortly.

The Jana Sena candidates are looking for Pawan Kalyan to campaign for them. They are also looking for the party chief to give them some funds to meet the expenses. However, Pawan Kalyan is not offering them any funds from the party and reportedly told them to fight their own battle.

In this background, Chandrababu Naidu is in a state of confusion over the continuation of alliance with the Jana Sena in Andhra Pradesh. He has his own doubts over the alliance as Pawan Kalyan is working with the BJP leaders in Telangana while he is working with the Congress leaders.

Chandrababu Naidu had been lobbying with the settlers in Telangana to support the Congress in the November 30 general election. He is sending his men to meet the representatives of the Kakatiya Sangham and Kamma Sangam in Telangana to mobilise support for the Congress.

Congress president A Revanth Reddy is Chandrababu Naidu’s supporter and Naidu wants the Congress to win this election. He is worried about the BRS as the party would in turn support the YSR Congress in Andhra Pradesh.

Chandrababu Naidu is also waiting for the courts to decide on his regular bail which was granted by the Andhra Pradesh high court. The state government had challenged the high court decision in the supreme court. It is to be seen what would happen to his bail as the court is yet to take a call.
