Mass Re-Release: A Twist on the Manmadhudu Route

Akkineni Nagarjuna’s first re-release happened to be Manmadhudu last year on the occasion of his birthday, August 29th. Despite limited screens and a single-day release, the shows garnered good attention and reported full houses. The excitement for this year from Akkineni fans is certainly the same.

Initially, Nagarjuna’s iconic film Siva was supposed to be in the works for re-release this year; however, the final say has gone to Mass. Directed by Raghava Lawrence, this film is a visual feast for Nagarjuna fans, as they get to see him in a mix of romantic and action episodes. Now, after 20 years, the film is seeing its light again, but there is a twist in the tale this time around.

Nagarjuna’s birthday is on August 29th; however, the Mass re-release is being planned a day ahead and seems to be following the same Manmadhudu route with limited shows and a single-day release. Reports indicate that the reason behind the day-ahead release is to compensate for the new releases, where Nani’s Saripodhaa Sanivaaram is hitting the screens on August 29th.
