Jogaiah writes open letter to Pawan on Kapus

Former minister Chegondi Harirama Jogaiah wrote a letter to Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan on Saturday. He asked Pawan to ensure that the Kapus are protected by the Jana Sena in the coming elections. He sought to advice the Jana Sena chief not to compromise with any political party in giving more tickets to the Kapus in the coming elections.

Jogaiah wanted the Jana Sena chief to ensure that at least 60 Assembly seats and 6 Parliament seats are given to the Kapus in the coming elections. He wanted the Jana Sena to ensure that these seats are given to the community as a mark of respect.

He also wanted the Jana Sena to give at least 7 Assembly seats in the undivided West Godavari district to the Kapus. He wanted Pawan Kalyan to understand that Kapus are strong both financially and numerically in the Godavari districts.

Well, what is more interesting is that Pawan Kalyan is asking the TDP for just 30 Assembly seats and two Parliament seats in alliance. The TDP may bargain it and bring the number down to anywhere 20s and no Parliament seat.

When Pawan Kalyan himself is asking for 30 assembly seats, how would Jogaiah demand 60 seats for Kapus is a big question. The TDP is not ready to give even a single Parliament seat to the Jana Sena in the coming elections. Even if Pawan Kalyan insists, the TDP may not give any parliament seat to the party.

Another aspect that both the Jana Sena and the TDP are missing is that the vote would not get transferred between the two parties. The leaders of both the parties are fighting with each other and these fighting were visible in the last month’s meetings held between the two parties at the Assembly constituency level.

With all these patches, how far the alliance would help the two parties and how far they would be successful in the coming elections is to be seen.
