Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy showed his heart once again to the poor and needy during his visit to Nandyala district on Thursday. He met two patients during his visit who told him about their medical condition. The chief minister, on hearing them, directed the district collector to give financial assistance to both.
Nara Pulla Reddy from Bommikunta village of Ananthapur district met the chief minister and told him that he has only one kidney. He said he was spending Rs 26,000 every month for the medicines. He also told the chief minister that he had tried to get some help from various sources in vain. He was spending his hard-earned money on the medicines.
The chief minister directed the district collector to give him Rs 5 lakh. The district collector handed over the cheque of Rs 5 lakh to Pulla Reddy in less than 15 minutes. Pulla Reddy thanked the chief minister for the quick response and help. He also thanked Nandyala district collector for giving the cheque without delay.
Another woman, Sowmya from Gokuladinne of Nandyala district met the chief minister with her husband Gurrappa. She told the chief minister that her husband is an auto driver and their second daughter has hole in her heart.
The chief minister directed the district collector to give Rs 1 lakh as immediate relief to the family. He also told the district collector to take care of the surgery for the child. The family thanked the chief minister for his quick response and generosity.
