Jagan drops 12 sitting MLAs in the second list

Chief Minister and ruling YSR Congress president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy dropped 12 sitting MLAs in the second list which was released on Tuesday evening. He dropped two ministers including those 12 MLAs.

Ministers Gudivada Amarnath and Audimulapu Suresh were dropped from the 2024 list. The other MLAs included Golla Babu Rao of Payakaraopet (SC), Kondeti Chitti Babu of P Gannavaram, Pendem Dorababu of Pithapuram, Jyothula Chanti Babu of Jaggampet, Parvatha Purnachandra Prasad of Prathipadu, P V Siddha Reddy of Kadiri, K Chennakesava Reddy of Yemmiganuru, Mohmmad Mustafa of Guntur East, Chetti Phalguna of Araku and Malladi Vishnu of Vijayawada Central.

He also shifted some sitting MLAs from their constituencies to the new constituencies. Kambhala Jogulu of Rajam constituency has now been shifted to Payakaraopet constituency. Minister Chelluboyina Srinivasa Venugopal Krishna was now shifted to Rajamahendravaram Rural. Vijayawada West Assembly MLA and former minister Velampalli Srinivas was shifted to Vijayawada Central constituency.

Sitting MP Vanga Geetha was moved to Pithapuram Assembly constituency. A former minister M Shankara Narayana was now made Ananthapur MP and Araku MP Gotteti Madhavi was shifted to Araku Assembly constituency.

Kothagulla Bhagyalakshmi was made incharge of Araku Parliament constituency, while Joladarshi Shanta was made Hindupur Parliament constituency. In Polavaram, sitting MLA Tellam Balaraju was dropped, and his wife Tellam Rajyalakshmi was made incharge of the constituency.

The chief minister also named the sons of three sitting MLAs in the second list. Perni Venkatramaiah’s (Nani) son Krishna Murthy was made incharge of Machilipatnam constituency, while Bhumana Karunakar Reddy’s son Abhinay Reddy was made incharge of Tirupati and Chevireddy Bhaskara Reddy’s son Mohith Reddy was made incharge of Chandragiri Assembly constituency.
