As YSRCP continues to make huge strides in Uttar Andhra with its ongoing campaigns, the party today successfully conducted the ‘Samajika Sadhikara Yatra’ in Srikakulam’s Pathapatnam assembly constituency. The yatra was graced by YSRCP heavyweights including Speaker Tammineni Sitaram, Revenue Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao, MLAs Reddy Shanthi, Dharmana Krishnadas, Gorle Kiran, Kalavathi, Kambala Jogulu, MLC Palavalasa Vikrant and former MP Killi Kriparani.
The event which started with an influencer meeting, concluded with a mega public meet with thousands cheering in support of CM Jagan’s pioneering governance. During the yatra, the leaders inaugurated a newly built Sachivalayam in Buragam and interacted with the beneficiaries of the welfare schemes.
Addressing a massive crowd at the public rally, Minister Dharmana Prasad Rao apprised the people about the founding principle and ideology of the YSRCP government, which is to ‘Invest in human capital.’ The Minister said, “What is development? The biggest indicator of development is how lives of the downtrodden and poorest of the poor have improved. Real development means the betterment of people and upliftment of their living standards. What is the point of building infrastructure when your people are unable to fill their stomachs? Jagan has his priorities very clear. I am proud to say that Jagan has aced on this front by investing in people and reducing poverty substantially. Not to forget that there has been an equal focus on development too, or else how would Andhra Pradesh excel in all developmental statistics, be it GSDP growth, per capita income, investments etc?”
Next in line, Pathapatnam MLA Reddy Shanthi underlined that during her tenure, “Unlike the TDP that only made false promises, the YSRCP government allocated Rs 1800 crores for the development of Pathapatnam Constituency.”
She added, “The state government spent Rs 750 crores alone to provide clean and potable drinking water to the people and as promised has delivered the Uddhanam Kidney Research Centre. Not just that, the government had spent another Rs 216 crores to facilitate the irrigation projects keeping in mind the unique challenges particular to our assembly constituency.”
She added, “After assuming power, Jagan effectively fulfilled the aspirations of the people. The YSRCP government provided an additional Rs 216 crores as compensation to people displaced under the Vamsadhara project and is actively constructing a lift irrigation project at Hira Mandal with an investment of Rs 176 crores.
The schools which were dilapidated under TDP, have been revamped into high-quality educational institutions. We’ve also initiated the construction of a 132/33 KV electricity substation in Kothur,” informed MLA Reddy Shanti. She also underlined the completion of the Kakiwada Bridge and the ongoing YSR Suddha Jalam project, providing essential solutions to the region’s challenges.
Castigating the negligence of the Naidu government, Pathapatnam MLA reminded the people, “Under the previous TDP government, even nephrologists had not been appointed for kidney patients in Uddhanam! But your son Jagan has established a kidney research station and a treatment hospital. This is the difference between the arrogant Chandrababu Naidu and our very own Jagananna.”
In a no-holds-barred attack on Chandrababu Naidu, Shanti said, “The previous government exploited public funds through Janmabhoomi Committees, whereas the YSRCP government has deposited a substantial amount of approximately Rs 3 lakh crore directly into the accounts of the beneficiaries. There’s no chance of corruption as there are no middlemen in this Government.
The difference between the previous administration and the current government is huge and for you all to see. Contrary to Chandrababu’s claims that there has been no development, I am sure, you all know that building a secretariat and health center in every village is the best form of development,” she asserted.
The MLA then exposed the doublespeak of TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu as far as welfare is concerned. She said, “Somebody who had vehemently rejected welfare schemes is today following our footsteps! Why? Because as much as he would hate to admit it, Naidu knows that the YSRCP government has prioritized initiatives aimed at elevating the living standards of the underprivileged.”
Speaker Tammineni Sitaram stated that, “Chief Minister Jagan’s commitment to govern on the ideals and principles set by Babasaheb Ambedkar is praiseworthy.” He then highlighted the state government’s unwavering support for the social and political empowerment of the BC, ST, SC, and Minority communities for equal access to opportunities in politics, government jobs, education, medicine, and agriculture.” Challenging TDP leaders, Speaker Tammineni said, “If there is any proof of corruption against this Government as far as implementation of welfare schemes is concerned, I will resign.”
Later, MLA Kalavati emphasized upon Jagan’s commitment to economic and social empowerment of backward classes and praised the allocation of substantial funds for the development of Uttar Andhra’s most backward areas.
