Former minister and senior kapu leader Chegondi Venkata harirama Jogaiah, on Thursday said that he had been advising the Jana Sena and Telugu Desam Party for their own welfare. He said that the two parties have not taken him seriously for all these days.
In a open letter, Jogaiah said that he had been giving advices to the two parties in the larger interests of the parties. He was trying to guide them based on the prevailing situations in the state and some realities, he said.
He had always been supporting the two parties, particularly the Jana Sena in the larger interests of the party and the Kapu community as well, he said. However, neither Pawan Kalyan nor Chandrababu Naidu took him seriously, he regretted.
Jogaiah said that he would not give any advises to any of these two parties in future. He said he would leave them to their fate. The two parties were not in a position to take advises from seniors like him, he said.
Jogaiah had been cautioning the Jana Sena on alliance with the TDP. He had advised the Jana Sena to ask for share in the chief minister post and also wanted Pawan Kalyan to ask for at least 60 Assembly seats in alliance.
But Pawan Kalyan had been saying that he had asked for 24 seats keeping in mind his party’s strength. He said his party has no election mechanism and no expertise in poll management. His party leaders too were not experts in elections, he said.
Pawan Kalyan said he had several calculations based on which he bargained with the TDP. He wanted the rank and file of the Jana Sena to support him or else leave the party. He said he was going on realistic grounds and speculation, or assumptions would not help in politics.
“I know my party’s strength and I know where we are strong. I have all these issues in mind while bargaining with the TDP,” the Jana Sena chief said.
