Geethanjali Malli Vachindi receives trolls from OTT Viewers

Geethanjali Malli Vachindi, Anjali’s latest venture, made its theatrical debut on April 11, 2024. This horror comedy, a sequel to the 2014 hit Geethanjali, is a unique blend of scares and laughter. Kona Venkat, the mastermind behind the franchise, has once again taken up the roles of writer and director. The movie is now available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video and Aha Video, offering a thrilling and humorous experience to viewers. This comedy horror film is getting trolls from OTT viewers.

Since the movie began streaming on OTT, the Anjali-starrer has faced a barrage of criticism on various fronts. However, the aspect that has received the most backlash in Geethanjali Malli Vachindi is Kona Venkat’s writing. Numerous comments on social media express disappointment in the weak writing of Geethanjali Malli Vachindi and Kona Venkat’s unsatisfactory execution of the script. The viewers expressed their disappointment, stating that there were very few exciting moments, and the horror elements seemed exaggerated. Anjali portrayed the female lead in the movie, and her performance did not get any appreciation as her character was completely shallow. Shakalaka Shankar, Srinivasa Reddy, and Satyam Rajesh also played significant roles in the film.

The first installment of Geethanjali Malli Vachindi successfully incorporated comedy, but unfortunately, the sequel failed to leave a lasting impression. Despite being made with a budget of Rs 6 crore, the film did not even manage to recover half of its production cost. However, the makers secured a satisfactory OTT deal as the film is now available to stream on Amazon and Aha. Kona Venkat, an experienced figure in the industry, has previously delivered blockbuster hits like Dookudu. However, it seems that his writing skills have weakened recently, as his fans pointed out.
