Great news, Marvel fans – the creative genius behind Disney’s smash-hit Loki series is taking over a major MCU project. Michael Waldron, who made fans fall in love with Tom Hiddleston’s God of Mischief (Or shall I call God of Stories?) all over again, has been tapped to write Marvel’s most important movies of the upcoming phases.
The failure of Ant-Man Quantum Mania and The Marvels forced MCU to rethink its strategy. As a result, they have hired their most successful writer in recent times, Micheal, for their next big event, Avengers – Kang Dynasty. It is a perfect match if you ask me. We all saw how Waldron expertly handled twisty time travel plots and complex alternate timelines in Loki. (Not to mention his mind-bending work on Doctor Strange, too). Let’s hope he will bring that talent for witty, intricate storytelling to Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Pretty epic.
We don’t know the plot details yet, but with 2026’s Avengers: Kang Dynasty followed by 2027’s Secret Wars saga, we can expect Waldron to take the Avengers on a wild multiversal ride. Who knows where or when he’ll transport our favorite super-team! But one thing’s for sure – it will be a fun time!
Waldron has proven he can balance action, humor, and imaginative ideas in the MCU. So get pumped. With Waldron at the helm, the future of the Avengers franchise looks brighter than ever. He is destined to do this after transforming Loki into a main character in the MCU with his exceptional writing. He changed not only Loki’s future in the MCU but also his future.
