For BJP, Naidu is untrustworthy leader!

The BJP leaders in Delhi look at Chandrababu Naidu of TDP and Nitish Kumar of Janata Dal (United) as the most untrustworthy friends in India. The BJP leaders look at these two leaders as the most undependable allies.

The BJP had in 2018 said that the doors for the TDP are closed and there would not be any alliance with the TDP in the future. They closed all doors and gates for the TDP. However, the TDP leaders in Andhra Pradesh are making untiring efforts to forge an alliance with the BJP.

They have already tied up with the Jana Sena, which is an ally of the BJP in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states. The Jana Sena is now associated with the TDP and is going ahead with the alliance. The two parties are holding consultations on seat sharing and common manifesto.

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan had said that he would convince the BJP leaders to have alliance with the TDP. He told the people that he would talk to the national leaders of the BJP to forge an alliance with the TDP.

Even the TDP leaders have made several attempts to meet the national leaders of the BJP and hold talks with them on alliance in Andhra Pradesh. BJP leaders, those who are close to the TDP are also holding consultations with the party top leadership.

Leaders like Sujana Chowdary, C M Ramesh, Satyakumar are continuously lobbying with the party top leadership to have alliance with the TDP. They meet the top leaders of the party on several occasions and suggest them go for alliance with the TDP to have at least two to three MP seats from the state.

However, sources in the BJP say that the party top leadership is not ready to have any alliance with the TDP. They see that Chandrababu Naidu is not a dependable friend and can walk out of the alliance any time.

On the contrary they look at Jagan Mohan Reddy as a dependable associate who has been supporting the Central government in the Parliament, particularly in Rajya Sabha where the BJP has less strength.

In this background, it is to be seen what the TDP would do for the coming elections. Will it settle down with the Jana Sena or go with the Left parties, if the BJP refuses to have alliance!
