Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan is now in alliance with the BJP in the state. The other day, he said he is still with the BJP and had not broken the alliance. He expected that the BJP would also join the alliance with the TDP.
The TDP and the Jana Sena are holding a joint meeting in Rajamahendravaram on October 23. Pawan Kalyan and Nadendla Manohar from the Jana Sena and Nara Lokesh and other senior leaders from the TDP are scheduled to attend the meeting.
This would be the first meeting between the two parties after they have agreed to contest together in the coming elections. The two parties have also formed coordination committees to hold talks on seat sharing. These committees are likely to meet some time later, after the October 23 meeting.
The question now is where is Pawan Kalyan? Is he with the BJP or the TDP? Did he break the alliance with the BJP? Had he communicated the same to the BJP leaders? Or is he going to get the BJP also join the alliance with the TDP? The rank and file of the two parties are in great confusion, whether to work with the BJP or the TDP. The BJP Telangana leaders have met Pawan Kalyan in Hyderabad and sought his support for the party in the November 30 general election to the state Assembly.
While it is not known whether he had given any commitment to the Telangana BJP leaders on his support, the TDP leaders in Andhra Pradesh are confident of Jana Sena’s support to them in the coming election.What sort of politics that Pawan Kalyan is pursuing in Andhra Pradesh is the big question now. It is to be seen what he would do in breaking alliance with the BJP? Will he succeed in bringing the BJP to the TDP alliance or would come out of the alliance with the BJP and go with the TDP is to be seen.
