Dhootha is an upcoming web series featuring Akkineni Naga Chaitanya in a lead role. It is a supernatural horror series backed by Amazon Prime. Vikram K Kumar is the director for the web series. Chaitanya and Vikram K Kumar have reunited once again after working together for the films Manam and Thank You. Dhootha is produced by North Star Entertainment. Parvathy Thiruvothu, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Prachi Desai, and Tharun Bhascker Dhaassyam played pivotal roles. As a noted hero from Tollywood is taking the lead for a web series, the show gained good buzz among the netizens. The project marks as the OTT Debut for Naga Chaitanya.
The official announcement of the project Dhootha has come out on April 28th 2022 from Prime Video. The makers of the web series also revealed the content of Naga Chaitanya starrer, As they wrote, “In this supernatural horror, possessed inanimate objects wreak havoc on the lives of people who commit deadly sins”. Though the official announcement about the project came out on April 28th 2022, Ever since then there was no sign of its release date. Meanwhile Naga Chaitanya also had a couple of his films Thank You and Custody released. Even though the Dhootha shoot was completed earlier, The release date has been in discussion for a long time. The fans are eagerly anticipating its release date.
A special announcement from Prime is coming out tomorrow at 12 PM . The series is expected to be available on Amazon prime Video starting from December 1st 2023. Having said that Naga Chaitanya has already started to promote the series by participating in the promotional activities. The release date of the trailer cut seems to be around the corner.
