Akkineni’s association with the Sankranti season has proven to be a profitable zone in recent times, from Soggade Chinni Naayana to the recently released Naa Saami Ranga. This time, to fill Nagarjuna’s shoes, his son Naga Chaitanya seems to be gearing up for the project Thandel, directed by Chandoo Mondeti.
Thandel is said to be a high-scale project and the highest of Naga Chaitanya’s career. Initially, the makers planned to release the film in December 2024; however, the latest reports indicate they are ready to compete with other big releases in the Sankranti race.
Thandel marks the second collaboration between Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi as the lead pair, following their successful hit, Love Story. Devi Sri Prasad is the music director for the film, and musical promotions are set to kick off soon.
