Devara: Part One, NTR’s pan-Indian action drama, had a good second weekend at the box office. After collecting good numbers on October 2, the film was quiet for a while and did decent business on Saturday, October 5. It was better than Saturday on Sunday, October 6. The film was released in theaters worldwide on September 27, 2024, amidst massive anticipation among NTR fans and regular audiences.
For 10 days, Devara collected over 320 crore gross at the worldwide box office. Though the film was released as a Pan-Indian movie, the numbers came mostly from Telugu, and the Hindi version provided decent help. The film’s numbers were almost nil in Kerala, and Tamil Nadu was also not that great. But Devara has gathered massive numbers overseas since day 1, and it has collected nearly 50 crores in gross from the USA alone. Devara, for now, will again be quiet for a few days, but it can use the Dasara festival days and can mint some good numbers before it eventually ends its theatrical run.
Set in the imaginary coastal land, Devara tells the story about a man who instills fear in the people of his place who use courage for wrong deeds. Directed by Koratala Siva, Devara: Part One also has Saif Ali Khan in one of the main roles alongside Jahnvi Kapoor, Sruthi Marathe, Kalaiyarasan, Srikanth, Prakash Raj, and others. The latest sensational music composer, Anirudh Ravichander, scored the music for the film, while Ratnavelu handled the camera work.
