Devara 2: Hype required for NTR and Koratala Siva’s ambitious idea

NTR and Koratala Siva’s action drama Devara: Part One was released in theaters worldwide on September 27, 2024. Though the film received relatively mixed reviews from audiences and critics, the film was able to bring massive numbers at the box office. The fans of NTR showed great commitment towards setting the much-needed hype around the film, and they created the right kind of environment with perfect planning of midnight and early morning shows. Now the question is, will the fans show the same excitement for the part of Devara or not?

The makers of Devara have promised that the second part will be much bigger and bloodier. They also added that all the main characters will have more layers in the sequel, and audiences will be blown away by the turns and situations that the film creates. Usually the sequels should have some big/key reveals that are left unanswered or thrown in at the climax of the first part. For example, Baahubali 2 had the big crazy tagline and question of “Why Kattappa Killed Baahubali.” While Devara has some unanswered questions about the characters, like what happened to Yathi and whose skeletons are buried underwater, they are not solid twists or triggering questions that raise the anticipation towards the sequel.

Also, there is another issue for Devara 2 that cannot be commenced right now. Because NTR has already had multiple comments with War 2 and a film with Prashanth Neel. So he will take at least three years to land on the sets of Devara 2. But a good thing is, Koratala Siva will have ample time to connect all the dots and set the preproduction works accordingly without much rush. Let’s hope that the team of Devara will be able to produce a remarkable output with their efforts and score a much bigger hit than the first part.
