Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro to Feature Capture Button for Enhanced Camera Control

Apple’s upcoming iPhone 16 Pro is set to include a new Capture Button on the right side of the device, as per new CAD renders shared by 91mobiles. This button, equipped with capacitive touch functionality, is rumored to offer advanced camera controls such as focus adjustment, zoom levels, and acting as a trigger for photo and video capture. This addition follows last year’s iPhone 15 Pro, which introduced the Action Button, though its precise function remains unclear.

Despite the new button, the iPhone 16 Pro is expected to maintain a familiar design language, including a Titanium frame and rounded corners from the iPhone 15 Pro series. However, it may feature slightly thinner bezels and a marginally larger overall size. The device is speculated to measure 149.6 x 71.4 x 8.4mm, making it slightly taller, wider, and thicker than its predecessor, likely to accommodate a larger 6.3-inch display panel.

While early leaks hinted at a redesigned camera bump, the latest renders suggest Apple will stick with the protruding camera module introduced with the iPhone 11 Pro series. Overall, the iPhone 16 Pro appears to offer incremental improvements and refinements, with the Capture Button being a notable addition catering to photography enthusiasts and content creators.
