Apple’s iPhone lineup for 2025 is shaping up to be an intriguing one, with rumors suggesting a refreshed design and a few notable changes across the range. According to analyst Jeff Pu from Haitong International Securities, the iPhone 17 series will feature a revamped aesthetic, with the Pro Max model boasting a sleeker Dynamic Island.
The most significant change could be the introduction of the “iPhone 17 Slim,” which is rumored to be the successor to this year’s iPhone 16 Plus. This model is expected to sport a 6.6-inch display while potentially being the thinnest of the four iPhones in the lineup, positioning it as a unique offering for consumers seeking a more compact form factor.
Under the hood, the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Slim are rumored to be powered by either the A18 or A19 chip, paired with 8GB of RAM. The Pro models, on the other hand, are expected to feature the more powerful A19 Pro chip and a substantial 12GB of RAM, representing a significant upgrade over the current generation. Additionally, all four models are said to feature 24MP front-facing cameras, a notable improvement over the 12MP sensors used currently.
While these rumors should be taken with a grain of salt, as is the case with any unconfirmed reports, they provide an intriguing glimpse into Apple’s potential plans for its 2025 iPhone lineup. If accurate, the introduction of the “iPhone 17 Slim” and the revamped design could help Apple maintain its competitive edge in the premium smartphone market.
