Yuva, the highly anticipated first film of Yuva Rajkumar, the newest addition to the Rajkumar family, is scheduled to be released in cinemas on March 29th. Originally planned for release on December 22nd, the date was changed to make way for the Salaar Ceasefire. Fans of the debut actor and the Rajkumar dynasty, particularly followers of the late Puneeth Rajkumar, are eagerly anticipating a grand release with paid premieres in various locations across the state and midnight or early morning fan screenings on the day of its release.
At present, fans may face disappointment in this regard. Director Santhosh Anannddram, in a media interaction prior to the release of Yuva, mentioned that a release on March 28, even with (paid) premieres, has been ruled out by the production house, Hombale Films. Furthermore, there currently needs to be confirmation regarding early morning shows on March 29, with the earliest possible theatrical screening time for the film being speculated as 8 am. The team has announced that Yuva will be exclusively released in Kannada, with a distribution of 300-350 centers. The film is being dubbed in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi, and these versions will be prepared for the eventual OTT release. Amazon Prime Video has acquired the rights to stream the film digitally after its theatrical run.
Yuva is set to hit theaters in just over a week, and the team is gearing up to offer viewers a sneak peek into what they can anticipate. Santhosh has highlighted that the movie primarily revolves around the relationship between a father and son, portrayed by Achyuth Kumar and Yuva. While the official synopsis labels the film as a college drama set in an Engineering college, Santhosh clarifies that this is just one aspect of the narrative. According to him, Yuva kicks off with the main character in his final semester at college, showcasing the conflicts he faces with his father regarding his future path. Yuva Rajkumar stars alongside Sapthami Gowda, and Kishore plays the sports coach role. The movie features music by Ajaneesh Loknath and cinematography by Shreesha Kudavalli. The trailer for Yuva is scheduled to be unveiled on March 21 at 1.01 pm.
