Yudhra, the latest action drama from young and talented actor Siddhant Chaturvedi, is continuing to see new lows in its box office numbers with each passing day. Released on September 20, the film opened to mixed reviews, and that is reflected in the film’s collections except the first day, on which the film minted a decent total with the advantage of National Cinema Day.
Yudhra collected 60 lakhs net after getting 75 lakhs on Monday in India. For 5 days, the film’s net collection total will be 10.2 crores, which is a very low number. The film was not expected to be a big-money spinner, but there were expectations of it reaching 80-100 crores considering the popularity of action genres among audiences. Sadly, though the film has style and a few stunning action sequences, it failed to put them in a coherent story or narration.
Besides Siddhant Chaturvedi, Yudhra also stars Malavika Mohanan as the female lead, while Raghav Juyal, who impressed everyone with his stellar acting in Kill, played the role of the villain’s son. RaJ Arjun appeared as the main antagonist of the film, while Ram Kapoor and Gajaraj Rao appeared in other crucial roles. Directed by Ravi Udyawar, the film has been produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akthar under the Excel Entertainment banner.
