Yodha arrives on OTT but with a twist

Yodha, the action-thriller movie, has debuted on OTT platforms but is not accessible to all subscribers. This film, featuring Sidharth Malhotra in the protagonist’s role, can now be streamed exclusively on Prime Video, but it is solely available for rental. For an early viewing experience, viewers can avail themselves of the opportunity by paying Rs. 349. However, in a few weeks, the film is anticipated to be accessible to all subscribers. Alongside Sidharth Malhotra, Raashii Khanna and Disha Patani also deliver captivating performances in Yodha, skillfully directed by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha.

In the movie, a Yodha task force officer faces a high-stakes challenge when an international flight is hijacked. Striving to rescue the passengers and uphold his reputation, he becomes caught in treachery and danger. Years after a critical failure, Arun is unexpectedly found on a hijacked flight, leaving the system shocked. Arun seems determined to seek revenge against the system that took everything from him. Is Arun betraying his father’s aspirations for him to be a patriot, or is he something else entirely? This thrilling, action-packed story unfolds 15,000 feet above ground.

Raashii recently expressed her disappointment with Yodha’s lackluster performance at the box office. In an interview, she highlighted the challenge of attracting audiences to theaters when they know the movie will soon be available on OTT platforms. Raashii acknowledged that opinions about the film vary, with some loving it and others hating it. However, she believes that upon its release, most people should be able to enjoy it. According to her, the main hurdle is convincing people to watch it in theaters despite knowing it will be accessible on OTT. Raashii occasionally watches movies on OTT due to her busy schedule. Still, she understands that people have many commitments and may need help to make time for the theater experience. She emphasized that every movie serves a purpose, and it’s essential to remove what one can from it and move on to the next. Yodha’s producers include Karan Johar, Shashank Khaitan, Apoorva Mehta, and Hiroo Yash Johar. Box office experts estimate that the film has earned approximately 35 crores net in India since its release.
