Telugu comedian Venu Yeldandi surprised everyone with his first directorial, Balagam. The village drama received exceptional critical acclaim and earned blockbuster status at the box office as well. Dil Raju, the renowned producer in the Tamil film industry, backed this film, and the film received many awards. After such an impactful film on his debut, everyone waited to see what would be the second film of Venu Yeldandi.
For a few days, it was reported that Venu will work with none other than Natural Star Nani for his second directional venture, tentatively titled Yellamma. However, there was no update after that, and the latest report suggests that Nani has backed out of the project and another young hero, Nithin, has entered the scene. Reportedly, the discussions between Venu and Nani did not work out as expected, and the latter left the film. The inside reports suggest that Nithin has recently listened to the script, and he was very impressed with it. Much like Balagam, even this film from Venu Yeldandi is said to have a rooted backdrop.
Dil Raju’s daughter, Ashrita Reddy, will be producing the film, and the other cast and crew details will be announced soon. The interesting thing is, Nithin is already working with Dil Raju for Thammud, which is currently in the final stages of shooting under director Venu Sriram.
