Election strategist Prashant Kishore had met TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu at his residence in Undavalli on Saturday. Prashant Kishore, popularly known as PK, had arrived in the city along with party general secretary Nara Lokesh.
Both Lokesh and Prashant Kishore landed at the Gannavaram airport from Hyderabad in a private flight. Along with them were TDP leaders Rajesh Kilaru, Santhanu Singh and M Srikanth who travelled in the same flight.
They drew straight to Chandrababu Naidu’s residence where they held talks with each other. TDP’s tie-up with the Sow Time Consultancy led by Robin Sharma is scheduled to end this month. It is said that PK would now sign the agreement with the TDP for the 2024 general elections.
PK played a key role in the victory of YSR Congress in the 2019 general election. He was behind the slogans that went deeper into the people during the election. The party had won finally 151 Assembly seats in the house of 175.
PK was also the target of the TDP during the 2019 general election. TDP leaders, including Chandrababu Naidu abused PK during his election meetings for bringing caste divide in the state. The social media wing of the TDP took PK to target and hurled abuses at him.
The TDP alleged that PK had successfully brought the divide between the Kamma caste and the rest of the castes in the state. They felt that Kammas were isolated by the rest of the castes only because of PK to the advantage of Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Now, it is to be seen what the same TDP leaders would say and how they would justify working with the man who brought the caste divide to the state.
