Viswam, the action entertainer starring Gopichand and directed by Sreenu Vaitla, had an average first weekend at the box office. The film was released in theaters worldwide on October 11, 2024, and received mixed reviews from audiences and critics. Everyone expected Srinu Vaitla to make a comeback, but sadly, the film failed to meet the expectations because of outdated content.
For three days, Viswam managed to collect 7 crore gross at the worldwide box office. The film had a better performance at the box office on the festival day, and the Sunday’s numbers were also decent; however, the overall total is still under double digit gross. Viswam needs to maintain the steady flow at the box office on the weekdays; otherwise, it will end up as a big failure at the box office.
Viswam stars Kavya Thapar as the female lead, along with Jisshu Sen Gupta, Sunil, Bharath, Pruthvi, Naresh, Vennela Kishore, and VTV Ganesh, who appeared in the other crucial roles. TG Vishwa Prasad produced the film under the People Media Factory banner. RX 100 fame Chaitan Bharadwaj composed the film’s music. The film tells the story of Viswam, an anti-terrorist squad officer who has to save a girl from a dreadful terrorist and his men.
