It is widely known that renowned actor Vijay Sethupathi played a vital role in Vetrimaaran’s Viduthalai Part-1, in which Soori was the main lead. During a recent event, Seeman, a filmmaker-turned-politician, shared an intriguing revelation about Vetrimaaran’s highly anticipated blockbuster film, Viduthalai. Seeman disclosed that he was initially approached to portray the character of ‘Perumal Vaathiyar’ in the movie. However, due to unavoidable circumstances, he could not accept the offer, and it eventually landed in the capable hands of Vijay Sethupathi. Seeman humorously mentioned that Vetrimaaran questioned him about his decision to grow a beard now when he hadn’t done so during the time of the film’s casting. Seeman playfully responded, stating that Vetrimaaran never requested him to grow a beard back then.

Fans were surprised by Seeman’s unexpected revelation and his replacement by Vijay Sethupathi, leading to a shock wave among them. Numerous fans expressed their astonishment on social media platforms. They still believe that only Vijay Sethupathi is the perfect choice for the role of Vaathiyar.

Seeman humorously mentioned that Vetrimaaran had promised to deliver the second installment of Vada Chennai, which never materialized. With Viduthalai in the works, Seeman jokingly insisted that Vetrimaaran had no other option but to work on the sequel promptly. Directing his words towards Vetrimaaran, Seeman added, “Please don’t keep us waiting too long, Vetrimaaran!” Seeman, an experienced filmmaker and actor, has been involved in politics. His most recent appearance was in the crime thriller Munthirikkaadu. The actor is now gearing up to play a significant role in Vignesh Shivan’s upcoming romantic drama, Love Insurance Corporation.
