Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video continues its below-par performance at the box office. When the film’s trailer was released, everyone thought it would be a surprise winner at the box office. However, when VVKWWV made its theatrical debut on October 11, 2024, the film opened to average reviews and could not get any big numbers. Still, the box office performance of this comedy drama is somewhat better than its competitor, Jigra.
Alia Bhatt’s Jigra was released in theaters alongside Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri’s Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. From the first day, VVKWWV is performing better than Jigra, yet in total, the film’s numbers are not that great. On its seventh day, the comedy drama was able to gather 1.5 crore net, which takes the six days total to 25 crore at the domestic box office. All eyes are on the second week’s box office performance of the film, and if it manages to collect around 10-12 crore in the second weekend, it can be considered a decent performance considering the talk.
Directed by Raaj Shaandilya, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video is set in 1997 and tells the story of a newlywed couple who lost a CD in which they recorded their private moments. The film has Vijay Raaz, Mallika Sherawat (marking her reentry into the films), Archana Puran Singh, Rakesh Bedi, Tiku Talsania, and Ashwini Kalsekar in supporting roles.
