Varun Dhawan’s Baby John Postponed?

Varun Dhawan had previously revealed the theatrical release date of his movie Baby John a couple of months ago. The film, helmed by renowned director Atlee, was initially set to hit theaters on May 31. Nevertheless, speculations are circulating that the movie might be delayed to a later date, possibly a month or two after the initial release date.

As said above, Baby John was initially set to be released on May 31, however, there are indications that the film’s release might be postponed to either June or July. According to Box Office Worldwide, sources suggest that a new official announcement regarding the release date will be made shortly. If the film had stuck to its original release date, Baby John would have hit theaters in less than 45 days. The movie’s post-production process may require additional time. It seems that Murad Khetani, the film’s producer, made this decision. He has previously collaborated with Sandeep Reddy Vanga on movies like Kabir Singh (featuring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani) and Animal (featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Triptii Dimri). Considering that they had already announced the release date as VD 18 along with the title, changing the date would have been a carefully considered decision.

Varun recently disclosed his intense work schedule on the film set. He filmed for the movie until sunrise on the 70th day of shooting and persisted even after that. In his Instagram post, he described it as one of the most challenging shoots he has ever participated in. The film is an action-thriller that guarantees an adrenaline rush unlike any other. Besides Baby John, Varun has Citadel: Honey Bunny and Call Me Bae, both set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video. Additionally, he is gearing up to begin filming Dulhania 3, aka Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, alongside his Bawaal co-star Janhvi Kapoor. Varun is also lined up to star in Boney Kapoor’s No Entry 2 with Arjun Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh. On a personal note, he is eagerly anticipating becoming a father shortly. It would be an understatement to say that Varun is not busy.
