Vaitla Discusses Aagadu’s Major Setback

Superstar Mahesh Babu and director Sreenu Vaitla’s combination has seen both ups and downs. While Dookudu shattered records and became a massive success, their next collaboration, Aagadu, caused significant issues for both the director and investors. Many fans and audiences felt that Aagadu was treated similarly to Dookudu but turned into more of a parody than a successful follow-up.

In an interview during the promotions for his upcoming film Vishwam with Gopichand, Sreenu Vaitla addressed the setback of Aagadu. He revealed that the film initially had a different script that was planned on a larger scale, but the producers were hesitant to explore that story, fearing the budget was getting out of control.

When asked if the original script could still be used, Vaitla mentioned that the audience’s mindset has changed, and the concept would no longer suit the current times. While Vaitla addressed the reasons behind Aagadu’s failure, it is known that there were also internal conflicts with the technical team and cast during filming, which became a hot topic at the time, especially since it was a star-hero project.
