This film, a direct-to-OTT release, promises to be a gripping revenge-drama. Tusshar’s portrayal in this film is said to be unlike anything we have seen from him before. Tusshar Kapoor is set to make his debut in the OTT film industry with Dunk. Before this, he appeared in two web series, Booo Sabki Phategi and Pop Kaun? Interestingly, his sister Ekta Kapoor has produced various shows for OTT platforms for quite some time. Additionally, their father, Jeetendra, recently made his debut in the OTT space as well. Apart from Tusshar, Nidhhi Agerwal, Shivin Narang, and Suchitra Krishnamoorthi will also be featured in the Abhishek Jaiswal-directed movie. The film is being produced by Prerna Arora, who previously co-produced Akshay Kumar’s Rustom and Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and Anushka Sharma’s Pari. Prerna had previously discussed the film Dunk, emphasizing the importance of legal safeguards, enforcement mechanisms, and support systems to protect farmers’ rights. “It is crucial for us as a community to come together to combat the issue of land-grabbing, hold those responsible accountable, and push for policies that empower and defend our farmers,” she had stated. Notably, the film’s release coincides with ongoing farmer protests for their rights.
Tusshar is set to be involved in several projects, including Love, Sex Aur Dhokha 2, and Welcome To The Jungle. Additionally, he holds a significant role in the Golmaal franchise. Although there has yet to be any official announcement regarding the franchise’s future after the release of Cirkus, it may continue to expand, with Tusshar expected to remain a part of it.
