It is widely known that the legendary actor Kamal Haasan joined hands with the veteran filmmaker Mani Ratnam after 36 years for his upcoming film, Thug Life. Touted to be a hyperlink action drama, the film has almost completed the shoot and is currently in the final stage. The film has good hype because of the iconic actor and director combination, and it helped the makers close a good OTT deal. According to the latest reports, the digital rights of Thug Life have been sold for an excellent price.
It is being said that Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam’s Thug Life has created new records in the Tamil film industry with its digital rights. Reportedly, the digital rights of Thug Life have been sold to a prominent platform for nearly 150 crores. Though this news is not official, it is interesting that a film has gotten such a big amount even before its shooting got finished. The official announcement on the same is expected to be out soon.
As said above, Thug Life’s shooting has been almost completed, and it is being said that Mani Ratnam and his team will provide an update for the same soon. The teaser of the film is also expected to be released in two or three weeks. Besides Kamal Haasan Thug Life, it also stars Trisha Krishnan as the female lead, with Ashok Selvan, Nasser, Delhi Ganesh, Abhirami, Joju George, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and others in supporting roles. Like all the films of Mani Ratnam, AR Rahman will be composing the music for this film.
