The Kalki 2898 AD Trailer to be released on this date

June 2024 has arrived, marking the official release month of Kalki 2898 AD. After a year of anticipation, with teasers and posters being unveiled by the creators, viewers have already been introduced to the animated series Bujji and Bhairava, which serves as a prelude to the film’s grand debut on the big screen. Adding to the excitement, Prabhas, the esteemed actor of this epic action sci-fi movie, has recently announced that the trailer for Kalki 2898 AD will be unveiled on June 10, 2024, much to the delight of fans.

Prabhas, the actor, recently revealed a fresh movie poster featuring himself donning a dusty gold robotic attire amidst a backdrop of a post-apocalyptic world. This poster gives us a glimpse into a future setting that has yet to be explored on the grand screen. Kalki 2898 AD, the forthcoming action-science fiction film, is the brainchild of Nag Ashwin. Nag Ashwin directed the film, shooting it partially in Hindi and predominantly in Telugu. Produced by C. Aswani Dutt under the Vyjayanthi Movies banner, this film is set in a post-apocalyptic world in the year 2898 AD, drawing inspiration from Hindu scriptures. It serves as the inaugural film for the upcoming Kalki Cinematic Universe. Prabhas leads the cast alongside renowned actors Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani.

The movie embarks on a journey spanning multiple generations, starting from the events of the Mahabharata in 3102 BC, which marked the beginning of the Kali Yuga, and continues all the way to 2898 AD. This captivating tale unfolds against the backdrop of Indian mythology and a dystopian civilization in the city of Kasi (Varanasi). At the heart of the story lies the enigmatic Kalki, the tenth and final incarnation of the Hindu god Vishnu. The COVID-19 pandemic delayed Kalki’s shooting by a year, with the first reported cases emerging in February 2020. Eventually, filming commenced in July 2021 at the futuristic Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad, progressing intermittently over the course of three years and concluding in March 2024. With a staggering production budget of ₹600 crore, Kalki stands as the most expensive film ever created in India.
