Thalapathy Vijay’s latest action entertainer, The Goat (The Greatest of All-Time), is making waves since its theatrical release. Conceded to be the second last movie of the actor, the film was released in theaters worldwide amidst massive expectations on September 5, 2024. Though the film received mixed reviews from critics and a few sections of audiences, the remaining percentage of viewers have enjoyed the film.
The box office performance of the film is weak in the Telugu States and Kerala, but it is superb in Tamil Nadu and overseas. Meanwhile, there has been exciting information given by the film’s director, Venkat Prabhu, regarding the film’s runtime. During a space conversation on X (Twitter), Venkat Prabhu said that the actual runtime of The GOAT was 3 hours and 40 minutes, and it was cut down to 3 hours and 3 minutes to adjust to the theatrical experience. He also added that the film’s producer, Archana Kalpathi, had given a hint about this extended version getting released on OTT. Though the fans are excited about this interesting update, there is no guarantee of The GOAt’s extended version arriving on OTT. Because the digital platforms recently made a mandate that they will not stream different versions from the theatrical version of a film.
So, we should wait till the film’s OTT arrival to know whether this information is true or not. The GOAT is produced by AGS Entertainments, and it stars Sneha, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Prabhudeva, Jayaram, Prashant, and Mohan in crucial roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja is the film’s musical composer.
