The Greatest of All-Time, aka The GOAT, the latest action drama starring Thalapathy Vijay, was released in theaters worldwide on September 5, 2024, yesterday. Though the film has received mixed responses from audiences and major reviewers, the film had a great opening at the box office. The film was rumored to have exciting cameos and references to other hero films, and it turned out to be true. One of the major surprises that The Goat had was the cameo of Trisha Krishnan, the star heroine of South Indian cinema.
The fans were thrilled to see Trisha on screen in the film. She appears in the last song of the film, Matta, and enthralled fans with her dance movies in the song. Though a section of netizens buzzed about the cameo of Trisha in The GOAT, most of the audience were unaware of it. Also, the makers did not reveal Trisha’s part in the lyrical video of Matta, which was released a few days before the film’s release. So everyone thought that it would be a solo dance number of Thalapathy Vijay. But the fans did not know that they were in for a sweet surprise from Venkat Prabhu and team. Fans went wild as they saw Trisha in the song, and social media was flooded with exciting posts about the song, and it is still continuing today as well. Trisha looked lovely in a bright yellow saree in the song and matched Vijay’s grace in dance moves. Truly, it was a superb experience for fans.
After that, the team released a few BTS stills of Trisha from the song, much to the happiness of fans. Trisha and Vijay were paired up against each other for the first time in Ghilli (2004), and they starred further in Thiruppcachi (2005) and Aathi (2006). After a 17-year gap, Trisha was seen together with Vijay in Leo (2023). Now with a striking cameo in The Greatest of All-Time, the lovely pair once again impressed the fans with their chemistry.
