The Birthday Boy, the latest Telugu film which was shot entirely in the US. This youthful entertainer is now out on OTT. Aha Video, the popular Telugu platform has bought the digital rights to this film, and the film streamed on it from August 9, 2024. The youthful, crazy drama has received a decent response from the OTT viewers.
A regular subscriber of Aha who saw the film online stated that he watched The Birthday Boy with nil expectations, but he liked it very much after completing the show. Another viewer said he loved the fun moments in the film, and it reminded him of his living in the US. The Birthday Boy’s story is basically about a group of friends who plan a wild birthday party for one of the group members. But little did they know they will be in for a shock of life when the birthday boy suddenly passes away. Whiskey directed the film, which had Ravi Krishna, Mani Vaka, Raja Ashok, Vikranth Ved, and Sai Arun in the lead roles. The makers promoted the film interestingly, as the writer and director Whiskey hid his face under a mask until they released the film. However, the film did not fare well at the box office.
Reportedly, Aha got the digital rights of the film, The Birthday Boy, for a relatively low price and they struck a profitable deal. Like most of the small budget films, The Birthday Boy is getting more reach and acceptance upon on its OTT release.
