It is widely known that Yuva Samrat Akkineni Naga Chaitanya and star actress Sai Pallavi, known for their good looks and acting skills, are collaborating on a film titled Thandel. Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, the movie will hit the big screens in the latter half of 2024. While the film’s release date has not been announced yet, Thandel is making waves with its digital business.
The most recent verified information from inside sources indicates that Netflix, the OTT platform, has allegedly invested Rs. 40 crores to obtain the film’s digital streaming rights in all South Indian and Hindi languages. This is the most significant sum ever offered for the OTT rights of any Naga Chaitanya movie. Thandel’s Teaser was released a few months ago and received a stunning response. The video showed that the Thandel unit is trying something big. Naga Chaitanya plays the character of a fisherman in the film, and the backdrop is India – Pakistan. The film is said to be based on actual incidents.
Furthermore, apart from the main cast, Priyadarshi also assumes a noteworthy character in Thandel. Thandel, produced by Bunny Vas under GA2 Pictures and presented by the esteemed producer Allu Arvind, will feature an exceptional soundtrack curated by the renowned musician Devi Sri Prasad. Regarding the release date, the makers of Thandel have not made any official announcement till now. There were a few rumors that the film would be released during the Dasara Weekend, but recently, it was said that Thandel’s unit is eyeing Christmas Weekend.
