Nayanthara’s next film, “Test,” is going to be released directly on OTT. The actress was last seen in theaters in Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, and her fans were waiting to see her on screen once again. But they would be disappointed to know that their favorite actress’s next film will have a direct OTT release. Test, the film marks the directorial debut of Sashikanth, and the sports drama also stars Madhavan and Siddharth alongside Nayanthara.
Reportedly, the shooting of Test has been completed, and it was supposed to be released in theaters, but the latest reports suggest that the movie might skip its theatrical release and will land directly on OTT. The official confirmation regarding the same will be out anytime soon regarding the digital partner and release of the film. Recently, there was also a big report that Kamal Haasan and Shankar’s Indian 3 is also skipping the theatrical release and arriving directly on OTT. The film’s predecessor, Indian 2, was a sequel, which was again a sequel to the vigilante action thriller, Indian, released in 1996. Now Nayanthara’s film also joins the league, as it is almost certain that the film will not be released in theaters.
Test also stars Meera Jasmine, Kaali Venkat, and others in supporting roles. Written by Suman Kumar, the film’s music is composed by Shaktisree Gopalan, and the interesting thing is the film marks Shakthsree’s debut as a music composer.
