TDP faces trouble in several segments

The opposition TDP is having trouble in several constituencies across the state. The problem is either with the allotment of the seat to the BJP or Jana Sena or the allocation of the seat to a particular candidate.
In Gunthakallu, the TDP leaders are holding protest against giving the ticket to former minister Gummanuru Jayaram. The dissident leaders are holding meetings and protests opposing the candidature as he had come from the ruling YSR Congress. They say that they have been holding protests and criticising Jayaram for all these years and wondered how would they go to the people seeking votes for the same leader.Kavali MLA candidate K Krishna Reddy is having tough time in the constituency with the party leaders not supporting him. He is facing opposition from within the party as several leaders have revolted against him and his attitude. In Anantapur, the urban Assembly seat was aspired by Vaikuntam Prabhakar Chowdary. However, the party hd given the ticket to Daggubati Venkateswara Prasad. Prabhakar Chowdary and his supporters are angry with the leadership. They are holding protests in the constituency and say that they would defeat the TDP candidate. They also attacked the party Urban unit office and destroyed furniture.

JC family is also upset in Anantapur district. J C Pawan Kumar Reddy was denied the party ticket in Tadipatri. The family is upset and is silent on the issue. It is to be seen how far the family helps Asmit Reddy to win the seat.Situation is no different in Tirupati as the supporters or Ramesh Naidu are holding protests against giving the ticket to Koneti Adimulam. Protests are being held across the constituency and sources say that Ramesh Naidu would contest as rebel candidate. In Dharmavaram, as the seat was given to the BJP in alliance, the TDP leaders are upset with the leadership. They are not supporting BJP candidate Satyakumar. They are openly declaring that they would not support the BJP in the constituency.

The war is turning tough in Prakasam district between its district unit president Dr Nukasani Balaji and party state unit vice-president Damacharla Janardhan. There is no point of unity between the two leaders which is set to damage the party’s electoral prospects.
