TDP candidates begin search for reason for their defeat

Several TDP candidates in Andhra Pradesh are searching for a good reason to justify their defeat in the just-concluded general election to the State Assembly. These candidates are getting their reports ready and will give them to party chief N Chandrababu Naidu at the party headquarters in Mangalagiri on May 29.The party chief had already asked every candidate to come with a report on their prospects and electioneering. He also wanted them to give him the reasons on how the alliance leaders have helped them or betrayed them in the campaign and voting.

TDP Kadapa district unit president Srinivasula Reddy had already prepared a note on the prospects of the party candidates in the district. Sources say that he found fault with some leaders in the party who did not work for the party in the elections. Two more senior leaders are also coming up with the same report. These reports have the details of how the own party leaders betrayed them in the voting and how they helped the rival party to gain. Candidates from Kadapa, Prodduturu and Kamalapuram have prepared the reports to be given to Chandrababu Naidu in which they nailed some of the party leaders for betrayal.

In Annamayya district, the party workers are complaining against the top leaders of the party in the district. They say that the leaders did not work for the party candidates and helped the rival party candidates. Similar reports are coming up from every district across the state. The party leaders are finding the reasons for their defeat. They blame their own party leaders and also the BJP and the Jana Sena leaders. There was no coordination between the leaders of the TDP and the alliance partners of BJP and Jana Sena.

In the Godavari districts, the leaders of TDP and Jana Sena did not work together in several Assembly constituencies. There was no coordination among the leaders, which helped the rival party to get advantage. The TDP candidates have some reasons to justify their defeat in the general election. They are preparing the ground to accept their defeat. It is quite interesting to see the TDP leaders accepting the defeat seven days before the counting of votes.
