Tamil Audiences overreaction on The Goat Life Performance in Telugu States

AaduJeevitham, also known as The Goat Life, is a Malayalam film starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Amala Paul. It was released on March 28th and received rave reviews, becoming a massive success at the box office. The film was praised for its production and the outstanding performance of Prithviraj Sukumaran. However, the film failed to impact the Telugu States and was considered a disaster. Citing this as an example, Tamil audiences on social media tried to troll Telugu film fans. They stated that films with artistic value could not be successful in Telugu.

Based on a real-life incident and adapted from the novel AaduJeevitham, the film captivated the Malayalam audience but failed to generate interest among the Telugu audience. It also faced tough competition from Tillu Square at the box office, further hindering its success. On the other hand, Tillu Square received unanimous positive feedback and is currently dominating the box office. The Telugu netizens gave a firm counter to the Tamil fans and stated they are always welcome to new and fresh films from other languages. Still, the painful story and narration of The Goat Life did not go well with the Telugu audience, which is why the film could not perform at the Telugu box office. The Telugu fans also stated that Tamil fans are far behind them in encouraging films from other languages as only a few films from Telugu/Malayalam have done well in Tamil Nadu, but that is not the case with Telugu states where numerous films from other languages became big hits at the box office.

In Tamil Nadu, The Goat Life had a strong opening with a gross of 1 crore, marking the biggest-ever opening for a Malayalam film in the region. It has collected five crores gross so far and is expected to reach the ten crore mark by the end of its run. Also, the trade expects the film to touch the magical 200 Crore Gross mark at the worldwide box office in its lifetime.
