Sunny Deol Replaces Ravi Teja in Announced Project

In an unexpected turn of events, Ravi Teja’s much-anticipated fourth collaboration with director Gopichand Malineni faced an abrupt halt shortly after its announcement. The film, backed by Mythri Movie Makers, had generated considerable excitement within the industry and among fans. With SS Thaman on board as the music director and Priyanka Arul Mohan in talks for the lead role, the project seemed poised for success.

However, sources now reveal that budgetary constraints became a stumbling block, leading to the project’s shelving. The producer cited a misalignment with the hero’s market value, stating that Ravi Teja was unwilling to compromise on his remuneration, considering he was receiving comparable offers from other producers. Consequently, Ravi Teja withdrew from the venture and diverted his attention to a new film titled “Mr Bachchan,” directed by Harish Shankar and produced by People Media Factory.

Filling the void left by Ravi Teja’s exit, the filmmakers secured the collaboration of Bollywood veteran Sunny Deol. Having made a powerful comeback with “Gaddar 2,” Sunny Deol is now venturing into the South Indian film industry. The latest reports indicate that the shoot for the film, which has undergone slight script adjustments, is scheduled to commence in March or April 2024. With the inclusion of Sunny Deol, the project is set to infuse a North Indian flavor, marking an exciting development for both the cast and crew, with further details expected to be revealed soon.
