Stree 2, the sequel to the blockbuster Stree (2018), is all set to be released in theaters worldwide on August 15, 2024. The film’s teaser and trailer have created good hype around it. The music is also getting good response from audiences. Recently, Tamannaah sizzled in Aaj Ki Raat from Stree 2 and now Shraddha Das takes the charge in Khoobsurat.
The makers of Stree 2 did not reveal much about the film’s story, but they are using the music as the biggest pillar for promotions. As said above, the first single, Aaj ki Raat, was received well by audiences, and the duet between Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, Tu Aayi Nahin, was also appreciated. Now the third single, named Khoobsurat, was released, and the team of Stree 2 threw a surprise for audiences with this song as they brought in Varun Dhawan from Bhediya, which is a part of Maddock Films’ Horror Franchise. So, this confirms that Varun Dhawan will also be seen in Stree 2. If we go back into the past, Bhediya, released in 2022, had a post-credit scene in which Rajkkumar Rao and his friends meet Varun Dhawan.
Khoobusrat has been sung by Vishal Mishra, and it has been composed by Sacin-Jigar. Amitabh Bhattacharya wrote the lyrics. As said above, Stree 2 is a proper sequel to Stree, continuing the story of Chanderi Villagers who face the wrath of a new ghost named Sarkata. Shraddha Kapoor reprises her role from the first part, where her real identity is yet to be known.
