Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Starrer Stree 2 is continuing its outstanding run at the box office. Even after nearing a 50-day theatrical run, the film is able to attract a reasonable amount of footfall at the theaters. The trade circles have no words for such an exceptional display of consistency by the film. Despite good competition in the form of NTr’s Devara, this horror comedy was able to collect a good number on Sunday, September 29th.
On its seventh Sunday, Stree 2 garnered nearly 3 crore net in India, which takes the total net collection to 613 crore and 727 crore gross for 46 days. The film can get benefited by the national holiday Gandhi Jayanti, October 2, on Wednesday. Most probably, the upcoming Sunday (October 6th) will be the last productive day for Stree 2, and we can say that after that it will eventually end its massive theatrical run.
Stree 2 became the first ever Hindi film to cross the 600 crore net at the domestic box office, and though some trade pundits expected to cross the 650 crore mark as well, the film will finish its theatrical run with 620-625 lifetime business. Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree 2 was released in theaters worldwide on August 15, 2024, and it also had some paid premieres on the night of August 14, which produced a superb response for the film.
