Stree 2, the horror comedy blockbuster, is still having a strong hold at the box office. Even after completing a 40-day theatrical run, the film is still able to attract decent footfalls. It can be said that the film has entered its last leg of the theatrical run, as it will face competition with the pan-Indian action drama Devara. Starring NTR, Saif Ali Khan, and Janhvi Kapoor, the film is all set to be released in theaters worldwide on September 27, 2024.
On its sixth weekend, Stree 2 managed to collect 14 crore net in India, and on Monday, i.e., September 23, the film collected over 1.5 crore net, and the total net collection for 40 days at the domestic box office will be 605.7 crore. The trade experts were astonished with the way Stree 2 held its ground even after 40 days of theatrical run, and they are looking forward to seeing how the film will perform on the upcoming weekend.
Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree 2 is made as a sequel to Stree (2018), which was a blockbuster at the box office. Stree 2 is a part of the Maddock Supernatural Universe, which features films such as Stree (2018), Roohi (2021), Bhediya (2022), and Munjya (2024). Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor played the lead roles in this horror comedy, while Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana, and Pankaj Tripathi played the supporting roles. Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan, and Tamannah Bhatia did cameos.
