Another day, another solid display from Stree 2 at the box office. The horror comedy is still continuing its dream run at the theaters and getting considerable numbers even after nearing four weeks of its release. Released on August 15th, Stree 2 had taken a sensational opening at the box office and went to collect fantastic numbers on the following days as well, and now it is going strong after crossing a big milestone as 550 crores net in India.
The film was released in theaters along with Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham’s Vedaa. However, there was no feel of competition as Stree 2 completely dominated the other releases. On its 27th day, 3.2 crores net in India, taking the total over 558 crores at the domestic box office. Now everyone is waiting to see whether the film will cross the coveted 600 crore number.
Starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor as the lead characters, Stree 2 also has Aparshakti Khurana, Abhishek Banerjee, and Pankaj Tripathi in supporting parts. Varun Dhawan, Akshay Kumar, and Tamannaah Bhatia appeared in cameos. The scene after the end titles hinted at Stree 3, and the audiences are already excited about it. Produced by Dinesh Vijan and Jyoti Deshpande under Maddock Films and Jio Studios, Star 2 has been directed by Amar Kaushik.
