For the first time in its twenty six days of theatrical run, Stree 2 has seen a slight drop in its numbers. Interestingly, it is also the first time that the film has collected below 4 crore net on a single day till now. On its 26th day, Monday, Stree 2 saw a 70% drop from its numbers from Sunday. Released on August 15, 2024, the horror comedy has amazed everyone with its phenomenal run at the box office.
On its 26th day, Stree 2 has collected 3.6 crore net in India, and the overall collection for 26 days has crossed over 555 crore net. The trade experts anticipated the drop on Monday as the film had collected well over the expected numbers on the weekend. Kareena Kapoor Khan’s The Buckingham Murders is the latest film releasing on September 13th, which can dent a few screens for Season 2. However, the trade is hopeful that Stree 2 will continue to draw audiences to theaters, and it can also use the advantage of National Cinema Day (September 20) to boost its numbers.
